Nach 250 Alben ist Schluss mit lustig bei Film Score Monthly. Als diese Nachricht verbreitet wurde, ging eine mittelgrosse Schockwelle durch die Filmmusik-Liebhaber Reihen, hat uns das Label von Lukas Kendall doch seit, rechnet man die ersten Retrograde CDs dazu, 17 Jahren mit fantastischen, lange erträumten, manchmal auch schrägen und gewagten aber durchgehend hochstehend produzierten Alben verwöhnt. FSM hat für viele Labels eine hohe Hürde gesetzt, nicht zuletzt in Sachen Booklets und Liner Notes, aber auch in der Arbeit, verloren geglaubtes Material zu suchen. Man kann nur hoffen, dass Intrada, La-La Land & Co. in diesen grossen Fussstapfen folgen können.
Fast ein jeder unserer Autoren hat aufgestöhnt als es darum ging Andi Süess› Idee eine Top Ten zu Ehren des Labels durchzuführen, denn selten zuvor war es derart schwierig 10 Alben auszuwählen, der ein oder andere hätte eine Top 25 locker aus dem Kopf zusammenstellen können.
